Cone 10 Moon Rocks Shino Nerissa Cook - Clay and Glaze Spring 2011

Recipe:
Soda Ash 10.01
Potash 45.64
Spodumene 38.04
EPK 6.31
This Shino has a subtle variance in color. You will get mostly opaque glossy white with some carbon trapping and iron oxide reds. The amount of black and red will differ with each piece and firing, a fun glaze to work with. Firing to cone 6 makes for a super opaque white with lots of pitting, like little craters in your Moon Rocks Shino!

  1. Hi I really like this texture as a grey speckled version, but wonder is it food safe for functional ware?
